Ultralytics Morocco offsite: Team highlights 2026
A look inside the Ultralytics company offsite in Morocco. Workshops, cultural experiences, and the moments that bring our global team together.

Last week, the Ultralytics team gathered in Marrakech, Morocco, for our first company offsite spanning four days of workshops, cultural experiences, and shared moments that brought the whole team together under one roof.
At Ultralytics, we build computer vision models for people all over the world to use, but our own team is spread just as widely, across London, Madrid, Shenzhen, the US, and beyond. Getting everyone in the same room is something we do not take for granted. Last week, we did exactly that, heading to Morocco for our first company-wide offsite.
From welcome dinners to desert adventures, from company workshops to cooking classes, the week was a chance to spend real time together as a team.

The team landed on Tuesday and checked into the hotel before gathering for a welcome sunset dinner at Nobu Rooftop. With most of the team still adjusting to a new timezone, and a few having travelled over ten hours to get there, it was the right way to kick things off: a relaxed evening, great food, and the kind of easy conversation that only happens when you are finally face to face.
For our newest team members joining the Ultralytics team, it was also a proper introduction to the rest of the company, not over a video call, but over dinner with a view.

Wednesday and Thursday were built around the work. Both days opened with breakfast before moving into full-day company meetings that ran through to the afternoon.
The sessions gave the whole team a chance to share ideas, perspectives across functions, align on where the company is headed, and dig into what our next steps for the product roadmap are. There is a particular kind of clarity that comes from being in the same room for conversations that would normally happen across time zones and Slack threads, and we made the most of it.

The workshops were also a moment to embody the company values and mission that sit behind everything we build. With a growing team that now includes people who joined in the last few months, taking time to articulate what we stand for, and to hear how the team connects with that was one of the highlights of the week.

The evenings and free time blocks were where the trip came to life in a different way. On Wednesday night, the team took a cooking class together, learning to prepare traditional Moroccan dishes, which turned into one of the most talked-about evenings of the week.
On Friday, after a city tour of Marrakech's historical landmarks and souks in the morning, the team headed out to the desert in the late afternoon for camel riding and dinner under the stars, capped off with an awards ceremony to celebrate standout contributions from across the team.

Offsites like this one matter for reasons that are hard to put a number on. The decisions that get made faster because two people built rapport over dinner. The ideas that surface because someone felt comfortable enough to share them. The sense of shared purpose is easier to carry when you have looked your colleagues in the eye.
Morocco gave us all of that. We came back with a clearer sense of direction, stronger connections across the team, and, if the cooking class is anything to go by, a few new recipes to try at home.
