How is Ultralytics YOLO licensed?

Ultralytics YOLO models are available under AGPL-3.0 for academic, research, and open-source work, and under an Ultralytics Enterprise License for commercial use that cannot meet the AGPL-3.0 terms. Licensing specific to YOLO27 will be confirmed at launch. See licensing options if you are planning a commercial deployment.

Which tasks will YOLO27 support?

Seven: object detection, instance segmentation, semantic segmentation, depth estimation, image classification, pose estimation, and oriented object detection. Each task is planned across all four model sizes, and all of them share the same Python and CLI interface as earlier Ultralytics YOLO models.

Can I download or train YOLO27 today?

Not yet. Model weights, configurations, and package support are not being released at this stage, so current projects should continue on YOLO26, which is fully supported in the Ultralytics Python package. Work you build on YOLO26 carries over, because YOLO27 uses the same interface. Join the waitlist and we will tell you the moment YOLO27 is available.

How is YOLO27 different from YOLO26?

Ultralytics YOLO27 uses the best architecture for each model size rather than one design stretched across the whole range. The smaller n and s models keep a streamlined CNN design for speed on limited hardware, while the larger m and l models use a query based, NMS-free design for higher accuracy. The lineup is simpler too, with no x model to evaluate. See the YOLO27 documentation for architecture details and preliminary benchmarks.
